JD.com Founder Liu Won't Face Charges in Sexual Assault Case Chinese internet entrepreneur has been accused of rape in late August
Authorities in Minneapolis declined to charge Chinese billionaire Liu Qiangdong in a sexual-assault case, ending a turbulent period for the founder of online retailer JD.com Inc. after he was accused of rape in late August.
The Hennepin County Attorney's Office said on Friday that there were evidentiary problems with the case that would have made charges difficult to prove beyond a reasonable doubt.
